A duo of Mexican delights await on this full day tour from Cancun. The adventure begins at the break of dawn with a journey to experience the wonder of Chichen Itza, a UNESCO-listed ancient Maya city. Then, wind down with a swim in a natural underground cenote cave. Hugo, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘The early start is worth it – we'll arrive first thing in the morning to experience the magic of the ruins in the soft sunlight and beat the heat'.

A guided tour of the ruined city reveals the stories of this remarkable site. It's not hard to imagine the daily lives of the community that lived here and built these impressive monuments. After the guided tour, enjoy free time to make the most of exploring this archaeological treasure trove as you wish. Hugo adds, ‘This ancient city isn't just about admiring the grandeur of El Castillo, but also about feeling the pulse of the Maya civilization that thrived here centuries ago. Gregory (and Roberto the driver) were an excellent team that provided an interesting tour with strong background to help the visitors understand Chichen Inza and mayan civilisation. I personally would have preferred longer at the site and possibly less time visiting a Mayan house. It should include in the tour description it was possible to swim in the Ceynote - as towel and swimsuits were not part of the inventory it wasn't obvious you could swim which was a disappointment as was impressive.

From the time we got on the coach Illy and the driver couldn’t do enough for us. Illy for short was very knowledgeable and informative. Additionally Illy and the driver provided our breakfast, a water bottle and holder to keep plus cold drinks during the day.

Breakfast on the bus, lunch at the site, it's not just the pyramid it's a large site so not over so quickly, great atmosphere with very passionate tour guide who can read the room. Not overly expensive but needs consideration. Souvenirs much cheaper here at the pyramid compared to the hotel. Almost life changing experience

Raul was a good, experienced and very knowledgeable local tour guide. He made the trip to Chichen-Itza very informative and enjoyable. The subsequent lunch and swimming in the Cenote were excellent. The trip was well worth the long journey to get there.
