Cosa aspettarsi

Board your boat at Chiquila – piloted by a local fisherman – and be whisked off on a two-hour coastal tour. Every other company uses the local ferry. Your guide will point out places known for their wildlife and explain what efforts are being made to preserve this habitat. And if you're doing the tour between June and September, you may be lucky enough to catch sight of the island's flamboyant flamingos. Plus, you'll discover the beauty of the secluded beaches of Isla Pasion and Punta Mosquito, before heading to the eco-resort for lunch followed by downtime on the sunloungers.

Once your batteries are recharged, you'll hop into a golf buggy for some fun exploring the surrounding area. To round off your visit to the island, we'll make our way to Holbox's laidback main square for some free time – it's a great opportunity to pick up some souvenirs or sample local food. You'll then return by ferry to Chiquila and on to Cancun.

Misinformed on the information that we received, we feel that we were overcharged for this trip. Disappointed with the experience of Holbox was expecting clear blue waters and it was no better than the beach we are staying at in Playacar ??

Jederzeit wieder, Holbox ist ein so entspanntes Fleckchen Erde das man sich einfach hinlegen und ein Bier ordern möchte. Beim ersten Zwischenstopp sieht man Flamingos in ihrem natürlichen Lebensraum, auch wenn nach einem Regentag einen dort die Mosquitos plagen. Man kann die ganze Insel Barfuß begehen, also am besten nichts schwereres als Sandalen mitnehmen. Das Mittagessen findet in einem Hotel auf Holbox statt für das man 2 Stunden Zeit hat, also noch genug Zeit Sonne und Strand zu genießen.

Meiner Meinung nach einfach nur zu Unrecht gehypter Ausflug.Der Guide und die Fahrer waren top.Die Inseln sind absolut verdreckt und zugemüllt. Auf punta mosquito, sollte man definitiv Schwimmschuhe anziehen und die Kunden sollten darüber aufgeklärt werden, dass dort Sandflöhe sind. Auf Holbox fühlten wir uns gar nicht wohl. Es stank und war einfach nur dreckig. Das 5Sterne Öko Resort einfach nur lächerlich. Leider kann ich hier nicht genauer drauf eingehen, da meine Zeichen begrenzt sind

Argelia, one of our guides, says ‘You'll learn about the calendars in the Temple of Kukulkan and its sacred staircase, where each equinox the shadows represent the descent of the feathered snake.'
